Chronic Hemodialysis is a treatment that it could be performed in your hotel or home if you are travelling for pleasure or for business.
Even if it’s a chronic therapy, it shouldn’t be challenging to travel and discover the world or visit our family and friends in another country.
At the same time, we should acknowledge that the planification is essential to realize a safe treatment as the patient need to agree with his Referral nephrologist that his condition allows a travel without complications.
Remember that it’s very important to avoid desertic zones, as the patients in dialysis have liquid restrictions and you should respect all the renal diet even during your travel to avoid complications.
it’s also important to take care of the vascular access avoiding extreme activities for the patients with Fistula or water contact (beaches, swimming pool) for the patients with Catheter.
